  • Have you contacted your hosts? This may be a server issue.

Yes, sadly. They don’t seem to think it’s “their” issue, even though we had a massive server crash due to spam from another customer’s accounts. Is there anyway to be sure?

The “massive server crash” would seem to be a dead giveaway. My best guess is that someone didn’t restore your site correctly after the crash.

It looks like some of the root files are missing. If you have FTP access, I would try re-uploading the root files, wp-admin and wp-includes file.

I agree with esmi, that the site hasn’t been properly restored after the crash. Hopefully the wp-content and db are still there.

Yes, everything is still there, I can see most of the backend and media library… thankfully. Our webmaster thinks it is corrupted. Is there a fix for that?

Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
