My sidebar appears under the content sometimes, apparently randomly... (9 posts)

    This might seem like a CSS issue but I'm pretty sure thats not all of it, so I'm desperatly posting here for help.

    On my website (www.orangeacid.net), sometimes the sidebar (which is a div that is floated to the right with plenty of space between it and the content) appears directly below the main content div (which is floated to the left), as if it doesn't fit in.

    This only happens sometimes and not others, and only in the Firefox browser... not in IE, Safari (that I know off), Konquror (spelling, sorry), Opera or whatever. But I'm a Fox user through and through so this is especially annoying to me.

    If anyone knows why this could be (wether its wordpress, firefox, my css, php in general or whatever), I would really appriciate some help.

    My website is orangeacid.net, and my structure and blog stylesheets can be found here and here respectively.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dan Foy

    You'll need to visualise that. I looked at your site 3 times and re-read your message. The site at present looks fine, but it doesn't show the visual imperfection, not even in Firefox.

    I have only one image within that div, and that is inside a post (which is in another div) and has its width and height specified locally.

    Sometimes you can refresh it 8 or 9 times and it looks fine, and then it will look almost constantally wrong for the next 10 minutes.

    I have also noticed, however, that this sometimes happens on my homepage, which isn't wordpress-erized. The homepage is the only page on the website save for my blog that is in PHP, leading me to belive that this is a php-based error. Perhaps this isn't the right place to ask this, but I've asked in so many other places and no-one seems to be able to see whats up :(

    Next time it's good, take a screenshot.
    Are you sure this only happens randomly and nor with certain posts ?
    Could a script be throwing an error and the error output breaks a div ?
    Does it only happen in posts with images ?

    I think I have resolved the issue on on homepage, by changing the PHP Require into a PHP Include. I would like to apply this change to my blog, but the pages are fetched using a wordpress function and I'm not sure how to change this. What would I do to change

    <?php get_sidebar(); ?>

    <?php get_footer(); ?>

    Into the PHP

    <?php include'http://www.orangeacid.net/blog/wp-content/themes/orangeacid/sidebar.php'; ?>

    ?

    Oh, no, actually that didn't solve it at all :(

    It sounds like I'm having the same (or close to it) problem when experimenting with K2 on 2.0.

    The primary div doesn't reserve the whole left column, so the sidebar goes into the primary div.

    Any ideas?
