I have been trying for hours to fix this, I have been deleting styles and adding them back in to see if one of my styles is causing the problem but I haven't had any luck!

I need the sidebar width to be 420px to fit the background image, and the width of the site is 1100px.

    My site is http://troianiwebdesign.com/new/

Can someone please help me figure this out???

See lines 178 and 85 of the parent stylesheet - it's set to 100% width.

    Are you using Firebug?

Could you answer one other thing for me? I have to add a phone number right about the logo in the header, do I need to do that with php? I don't know php.

Did you do the graphics? You could add the phone number to the image? Or yes, you can add it as text, but yes, then you'd need to do it in the php file. It's not that hard -- if you post a copy of your header.php file to a pastebin, someone can help you with it.

But be sure that you make any changes to header.php in the child theme -- presumably you are doing that?

Thank you but what's a pastebin and where is it?

Pastebin is a site where you can post code. Just copy and paste the code from your header.php file and you post the link.
