These entries show up in my public profile but are unchecked inside:
I use WordPress at work
I make my living using WordPress
I am a WordPress consultant
How do I change them? I'm by no means the WP expert my profile indicates I am.
Some real experts here likely wonder why I'm posting support queries of a "newbie" nature in other sections.
Actually, we can't see those settings so no, we're not :)
I'll pass on that this is happening, though.
I don't see any of those three entries in your public profile at all.

Ipstenu & Otto, I fixed the problem and made a post to exlain 3 hours ago, then clicked "resolved".
I must not have saved it properly, I'm sorry.
The solution for anyone else with the problem, is to click to enable those 3 boxes, & save.
Then go back & click to disable the boxes & save again.
Ipstenu & Otto, thank you so much for responding. I'm trying to be a responsible poster, I'll get better at back-checking; I thought I did.
I'll try once more to resolve this. Thanks, clicking & saving now.
Ahhh you had marked it resolved, but with no resolution posted, I assumed that was an error :) My bad!

Ipstenu, my resolution "post disappeared two. I later remembered looking in my profile & seeing it resolved before you showed up before.
(a glitch)
It didn't show up when you showed up last. I did that when I came back.

Someone may have thought it was a duplicate post. GENERALLY it's best to reply to the post in which you pitch the question ;) We're all cool now.

Ipstenu, it was in here. I thought it best to thank you guys & proclaim it solved here as well as click it solved. It was listed at the right top of my profile page, I clearly remember seeing it resolved there after making that resolution post.
A mystery, ha ha...
