At Settings/Permalinks in your admin panel, what do you have for “Common settings”, “Category base”, and “Tag base”?
macmanx-
Common Settings is a “custom structure” a free widget I added.
Category Base and Tag Base are empty.

And what is your custom structure?

That’s not an approved structure tag. You’ll have to pick one or more from the list:

All I did was copy the link under custom structure, I don’t know if it’s an approved tag or not. I will eliminate it, if you say so. Is this the problem of the other title links and archive links not working?

Yes, that’s the problem. Try one of the common structures. For performance and SEO purposes, I recommend “Month and name”.
I followed your http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Structure_Tags
link. I’m now more confused than ever. I’m just trying to to create a blog for affiliate marketers. I guess simplicity is beyond this analog marketer’s mind. Thanks for your time and concern, it seems to be beyond me. I’m better off with copy and paste.
Just pick one of the preset permalink structures on the Settings/Permalinks page.
Thank you, Thank you, All I had to do is follow instructions.
Problem was solved with the last suggestion:
“Select Month and Name” in Permalinks. Sorry for being so thick-headed, it has to do with my analog upbringing.
Thanks again,
MrBill
P.S. If I knew how easy it was to get this kind of personalized help, you would of seen me here a lot more. To coin a phrase, “I’ll be bauck”. Thanks again for being so responsive and helpful.
You guys ROCK!!! Mr.Bill

And to coin another phrase, “Get to da chawppah!” Ok, that really doesn’t fit, but you’re welcome nonetheless!
