    http://www.xelizer.net/blog/my-money-programs/

If you go to this page, there are no links to the other Pages on the right.

However, if you go to the main page: http://www.xelizer.net/blog/
You can see there are some links to other pages there.

The categories and links sections are fine...but for some reason the "Pages" section doesn't show.

    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Looks like the code you are using only shows subpages to the current page. What are you using? If it is what I think it is, try setting "depth=0"

Is there any if statement around that wp_list tag? Like
    if is_home
    do something...
    elseif
    do something else...

    If yes, remove it.

    hmm...

I don't see anything like that on my "sidebar template"

    all it says is <?php wp_list_pages('depth=0&title_li='); ?>

could it have anything to do with my permalinks & htaccess file? I can post anything necessary to get this fixed!!

New pages weren't showing up on the right navigation, so I updated my .htaccess file.

I'm now getting an error after adding the page:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/xelizer1/public_html/blog/wp-includes/template-functions-category.php on line 410
Warning: in_array(): Wrong datatype for second argument in /home/xelizer1/public_html/blog/wp-includes/template-functions-category.php on line 414

hmmm it seems this problem is only with 2 themes of mine:
    VizmayaTech SmallBiz_3 1.1 and Minima Plus 1.0

I installed some other themes to see if it would finally work with those others, and it did!
    Benevolence 1.0 works
    Landzilla 1.0 works
    Almodovar 0.7 works

I still want my same theme (or the other theme that doesn't work), and I cannot find what's wrong. I've tried different parameters of the wp_list_pages but nothing.

    Anyone have any ideas??

I'd suggest you try some troubleshooting steps.

Your sidebar has lots of small problems. It has empty <ul> (unordered list) and the page list itself is not wrapped in a <ul> tag.

You have found with other themes that things work, good first troubleshooting step! So the next thing you can do is copy the sidebar from a theme that works, and put it into your theme (backing your original of course).

Then see if the problem persists. If it does, then it's not the sidebar (and you can start wondering about permalinks, etc). However, my suspicion is that it will in fact be the code in your sidebar.

Go through the sidebar that works, comparing with your sidebar, and you can either amend the working one to fit with your theme, or you can try and locate the problem with your current sidebar.

Troubleshooting is a series of attempts to isolate a problem. I feel your pain though, it would be ideal if someone could fix it for you.

    Best of luck,

interesting site by the way. i had no idea that kind of stuff existed.

Thanks a million for posting (and for the comment :)), but unfortunately I've tried all the steps I can possibly think of.

The problem has bottled down to something unknown to me. I tried using the exact same code <?php wp_list_pages('list=1'); ?> (works on Benevolence theme) to replace the code that doesn't work <?php wp_list_pages('depth=0&title_li='); ?>

Doesn't matter, still doesn't work. I've tried messing with all the parameters a million times!

I also thought it was the permalinks, but how come it worked with another theme? It would be broken with all themes, correct? Also, a theme I just installed has the same problem with not showing the links.

did you try testing a sidebar from a 'working' theme?

sorry i could not tell from your response.

you could try posting the entire contents of your sidebar.php... you have to make sure to put code in back ticks `

um... and did you try the page list code in other files like index.php, and in your page.php files directly?

I tried putting the code from a working sidebar.php into the nonworking sidebar.php AND straight into the page. No luck. I also tried the nonworking sidebar.php code into the index.php. Also no luck.

Also, I tried putting the nonworking sidebar.php code into the working sidebar.php in a working theme. It worked!

So wth is going on here? It's not the sidebar.php code that's causing the problem..it's something else. Should I just reinstall WordPress and the themes?

well, that's good. at least you know for sure it's not the sidebar...

there must be something in the header, or any of the other pages in which the sidebar is included.

it looks like this behaviour is only on page templates... are you using a page.php in your theme? that is a template that displays for pages... that might help you.

ahh.... i started searching on the forum here for you...

are you using the most recent version of WP?

    it sounds like this bug:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/32567#post-184632
    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/27878#post-158262

but if you're using the most recent version of WP... then i'm stumped. how old is the theme? is there an update?

    i'm truly stumped.
