• I installed wordpress and got a page with the url as (local:#$@#$) I edited it and put that link on my website. Well when the blog comes up the page can be edited. I guess that is my admin page. What else do I have to do?

  • Hi Charlie,

I am not exactly sure what the issue is based on your post/question. Would you be able to provide a bit more details about the problem? Is this a local install of WordPress and mean that the URL is localhost:####?

    Your admin page is yourdomain.com/wp-admin/

Yesturday my local site was working and now it is gone. the site is localhost:36816/wp-admin I cant or do not know how to get to my dashboard or anything. I put a link to it on one of my sites and today that link indicates that the page can not be found. I am into wordpress by only a few days so that is the problem here. Just need a little direction.

My website with word press is not accepting the plugins. The plugins are there and I Activated them. On my site they do not perform. my site is http://www.nolacityblogs.com/ I am playing with it and taking the pages off and going to replace them so if you view it now or soon, you will not see the dropdown menu or any menu. So that is not the problem. Problem is that my site is not activating the plugins. I even tried the “hello dolly” plugin and it dont show up. I am wanting a dropdown menu an downloaded the “Black Studio Touch Dropdown Menu”. I did notice also that on the “Themes” admin that the “Options” tab is greyed out . I know that i would need to use this tab to edit my drop down menu. I do not know what the problem is . All my actions seem to have been done correctly but plugins still do not work on my site.

    Is this site hosted locally?

No it is not. I had first downloaded it locally from word press then went with hosting it with bluehost

Can you please post a new topic. This forum is specifically for locally hosted sites.
