    Hi,
I have tried everything but still my meta description for http://www.smileyculture.com/
is an old post of mine in google or Facebook searches. (Facebook being the most annoying). I have tried everything to change this, lots of people have advised that i use Yoast, which I do anyway, but I have changed the Yoast settings in homepage and it still does not work.

My Meta descriptions are correct for specific pages and posts, just not the main page.

How do I add a specific meta description for my homepage, as stated, I have tried Yoast and it hasn't worked.

    The output meta description is:

<meta name="description" content="SmileyCulture is a lifestyle blog with the sole intention of creating a smiley culture. If you have any questions just email us at: info@removed_for_this_forum.com"/>

Also the title seems a bit odd:

    <title>SmileyCultureSmileyCulture</title>

If you want the Facebook meta description updated (this works for future posts only, past posts are not changed on Facebook when you make such changes at your site)...review the documentation at facebook for the og:description tag

As far as Google goes, you will need to give them time to list this as modified.
