My Links are changing category as soon as they are created

I’m having a problem specifying the link category on my site. Every time I add a link, that is also a slide on the front page of my site, it changes it to the link category “blogroll”. I’ve tried disabling all the other plugins to see if they were interfering and it didn’t effect the problem.
