I'm running WordPress MU 2.8.4 and I've got Viper's Video Quicktags 6.2.7 installed & enabled. I have had no problems embedding video that's hosted on YouTube. However, I'm having trouble getting video I've uploaded directly to my website to work.
I uploaded my video the server using FTP. I used the [flv][/flv] tag to embed my video. in the post. When I view the post, the player is there & it has the play arrow. When I click the arrow, I get a message with part of the file's name (everything up to the "-" in "wp-content") and the text "Video not found or access denied". The file permissions on the video file are set to 755, so I'm stumped.
Here's a link to the post: http://churchonhigherground.org/worship/sermons/2009/06/14/09-0614-01/
The file's URL is:
http://churchonhigherground.org/worship/wp-content/blogs.dir/5/files/09-0614-01.flv
Any help is appreciated
Tony
Well the video URL you're linking to is indeed a 404. Click it and see for yourself. ;)
Also you should upgrade to the latest version of my plugin, just to be safe.

I'm having a similar problem, my video is 755, but I get the same error message.

File Url:

I've pasted the flv url into my browser and it downloads, also the plugin does work with quicktime, but I want to use flash as it's more 'universal'. I still need to fix the video up in flash format though...
I would use a more standard filename. Flash probably doesn't like all the non-standard characters.
For example: creme-brulee-complete.flv

you were absolutely right. Oddly enough I had done that when I had it working with quick time, but didn't think to do it with flash. It's working now. All I have to do now is figure out how to crop the video and get rid of the black bars/borders, part of which I think is an encoding problem.
Thanks very much viper, you gave me a quick and correct answer, I sent a modest donation your way, keep up the good work!
