Here's my first WP site, called Sempre Violin. I'm very new to WP and its capabilites, as well as theme design/alteration, so the look is pretty basic, but I am trying to achieve a simple and sophisticated look to suit my subject matter.
Any comments/suggestions appreciated.

The theme you chose is a nice one -- a very pleasant and readable theme. Don't really see how you altered it aside from the banner, but the banner suits the colors of the theme well.
It looks good. i would consider having the youtube videos in the side column open in a new window, but overall it looks very nice.

OK, I thank everyone who replied. I have reworked the entire site and I hope it is readable and appealing to everyone. Please let me know what you think, and....be gentle...:)
Hi, excellent stuff, good clear layout, and for me, one of the most readable blogs I've seen in a long time, I loved your post, how much is too much, I come from a totally different branch of music, but, know exactly how you feel.

Too many ads.

I don't feel as though there are too many ads at all. I have been careful not to saturate the site with ads and I rarely have any in the posts themselves. Mostly any ads are in the sidebar, and the only group of ads is on the front page at the bottom.
If anyone disagrees, let me know, but I think I have been responsible with the ad placement.
Thank you for the comments though. It is through these comments that sites can improve!
