I'm pretty stoked about this design: A clean, one author template for long reads.

It's becoming clear to me it will never make it into the theme repository since there are a few design points that are required. For instance, I don't want to have any tags in the Loop. This is a no, no according to the WordPress gods. Alas.

From a usability perspective, I love it. Clean and easy to read, almost like looking at a kindle.

On the flip side, it would be hard to monetize the site in its current state. If that's not something you're intending to do, then power to you. Just keep that passion burning and you're all set!

As for the theme repository, you know, you can create your own theme site. Just make it available on either your current site or a separate site. Many excellent themes don't appear on the WP site.

Both practical and simple. A straight-to-the-point-theme. Good job. Kind of big font though, don“t you think? Reduce some of the headlines and you could fit more text onscreen.

The text is large, but I was actually modeling it after the size I prefer to read longer form articles on other sights. Generally, I am forced to use readability in order to do that. Twelve and even Ten point typefaces are certainly readable in print, but there is something about a screen which seems to demand larger text to my eye. I am not sure why.

I do think, however, a slightly smaller sans-serif would probably play well with the layout, but I also wanted to use a browser 'safe' typeface so it could remain open source and none of the standard san-serifs are ever remotely palatable to me.

As you know, the font size isn't the only thing that determines how readable a page is. The fact that you make good use of clean lines, few distractions, and percentage of white space in your real estate, they allow you to get away with smaller fonts if you want to.
