   Hi, as part of an assignment at UNI I had to create a WordPress theme. I have never tried it before so there was a lot of work involved to get the basics right etc.

   The challenge was to create a theme that would provide a better layout for blogs with multiple authors and several categories.

   I have now taken the theme as far as I can and have tested it in multiple browsers including Opera, FF, IE, Chrome and Safari.

   If anyone wants to give it a spin and give me any feedback you might have for improvements, I would be happy. I would especially like to hear if I have missed something essential. And I'm all for constructive criticism ;)

   kasperbs,

   You might want to get a demo setup for us to test - most of us are lazy and don't want to go through the hassle of downloading/unzipping/uploading/configuring just to test run a theme :)

   Maybe it's just me, but could you clarify that? I'm just not 100% sure what you mean, sorry.

   Yes,

   I mean installing wordpress and installing your own theme - then sharing that link as well as the download link.

   Not to mention the fact that this is the wrong board for this kind of thing. There is another board for promoting your own themes.

   Am I about to download a theme, go through the process of loading it, just to see how it looks?

   No - I am not.

   I looked at the front page of the board and this was the only board I could find for WordPress Themes. Is it on another website?

   Anyway in the meantime I found a few bugs which I have corrected. I have uploaded a demo with some sample content from WP-Candy. Some posts have comments, some have them disabled, hopefully I have covered the most common scenarios.

   The one thing I do like about this theme is that it has valid XHTML.

   I looked at the front page of the board and this was the only board I could find for WordPress Themes. Is it on another website?

   This would be the correct place to post themes. The other forum is for showing off your own site.

    Thanks for clarifying. And thanks to you Justin you did help me a great deal with this task in the early stages. I have made few changes and now the CSS should be completely valid as well. Apparently it wouldn't validate as had used CSS 3.0 elements.
