I installed WP and it said it installed clean. I click to login, and after I enter the password and hit enter, thats what I see in my browser.

Whats the problem? I looked around the forums, but couldn't find it.

Exactly what do you see in your browser?
I tried your CruicalTK link. Is that it?
What I see is an index.html and an index.htm page, but no index.php, as in WordPress.
    Only the Gallery links work.
    Were is your WordPress installed?

    WordPress is installed in http://www.crucialtk.net/wp/

Please forgive the lack of functional links, I had to switch hosts and am manually adding things as I gather time (Being a college kid is time intensive)

    Looks perfect to me.

Your first Post and comment are there to give you some content out of the box. You can delete them later.
In the right sidebar you have a link to login.
Do that and go to Write/Post and scribble away at your first post.

If there isn't some other problem that I don't see.

Ah - did you see this?
"My Error: This script was not meant to be called directly."
I don't know what script you called, but all PHP scripts that comprises WordPress must be called via the web server, that is from your browser.
The web server starts the PHP engine, that interprets and runs the scripts.

    Was that it?

The error I keep getting is "This Script was not meant to be called directly." I think it may be linked to the password, because after I put in the password I get the error.

Odd, generally you only get that error if you input something like your/site/addy/blog/comments.php - in other words call the page directly instead of through the system....

I've got this same message after moving to a server with PHP 5.0.4, anyone have a solution for this?

This is quite likely caused by the settings in php.ini being too restrictive. See http://wordpress.org/support/topic/68684?replies=6

is there a fix, or work around ??

    beacuse i can't update anymore

    : Edit :

I found out it worked when i was logged out.

I have the same issue too. I just upgraded from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5 The first time I logged into the admin account it told me I needed to run the upgrade.php After clicking on the link it said it upgrade successfully, but ever since whenever I login it redirects me to the wordpress/wp-admin/index.php page and this merely says 'This script was not meant to be called directly.'

As a work around, I found that if I went back to my blogs main page from the same browser session and used the Edit link next to any post title (these only appear when I am logged in) I can get to the admin pages. Everything on them work except Dashboard. If I click on that I get the same error that I get when logging in.

Well, I seem to have fixed it by re-installing. I had followed the abbreviated upgrade instructions from the link off the download page (seems to be down at the moment) and just deleted the admin folder and so forth. So for giggles, I logged into my website's control panel and renamed my wordpress directory to oldpress and then uploaded a brand new fresh wordpress directory. I logged in and the problem was gone. I then copied my two plugins, my custom theme and my monsterous upload directory back over and re-ACLed them and I am back in business.
