I just moved my site from WordPress.com a couple days ago and installed some plugins. Every time I go to a new page the whole site (header, sidebars, etc.) refreshes, slowing everything down.
Here's my site: http://www.nicodauterive.com
Any ideas? The site is from a template. I had installed WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache. I thought this might be causing problems so I deactivated both and then reactivated just W3 Total Cache.
Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Thanks! Will I lose all my settings when I deactivate the plugins? I've spent a lot of time configuring my NextGEN Gallery.
No - your settings should be saved but in these situations, I sometimes take screen shots of plugin settings pages, so I have a record - just in case.

It is definitely the NextGen plugin that is causing the problem (even with all other plugins disabled and a different theme). I found a couple other people complaining of similar issues.
I would really like to continue using NextGen if possible (I built my entire portfolio in their gallery). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
