My ‘Edit Post’ text box is not loading properly

    Hi,

    Any help with this problem would be much appreciated.

    Not sure if it a bug or what… but my WordPress version seems to be up to date.

    Basically – when I click on the ‘edit post’ button the text box into which you write the post doesn’t load up properly. It works about once every 10 efforts.

    The page loads fine and the HTML view seems to work too. However, the Visual view doesn’t load properly – if I highlight the text with the mouse it is all there (in white) in HTML format. The toolbar which allows you to edit text isn’t there either.

    Is this a familiar problem and can someone help me?

    If there is already a forum topic about this which I haven’t seen – apologies.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
