I went into my admin today and the dashboard is all messed up. It was perfectly fine yesterday. What could have happened?

When I clicked on add or edit post my website also changed to looking weird so I reloaded a saved backup of the site. However the dashboard is still messed up.
Please help someone!

Start by clearing your browser cache and cookies.
Do you still have the same problem if you try it in a different browser?
Last time you were logged in, did you update/install any plugins or different themes?

Hi,
I cleaned my cache and cookies and it's the same no matter which browser I use. I didn't install or update and plugins. It all worked fine yesterday and today it doesn't.

Did you ever fix the problem? Couldn't see the pic cause it wasn't there anymore, but I am having a problem with the look of my dashboard and wondered if you figured it out. I didn't change anything, but the dashboard looked like it was missing graphics...looked more like a sitemap or something.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi SS minnow -- im a total neeewb here and i have no clue as to how to know if my site has been hacked. How do you tell? is there a way you could tell by looking? my dashboard is not looking right, and i cant make any changes. its all different than it used to look and it wont go back.

Hi Lynn,
It would be tough to tell just by looking at the front end, which appears fine. To really fix it I would need an admin login and most like FTP access as well. I wouldn't be able to do it as free advice over a bbs.
