   Hi,
   On the news page of my Web site, I would like people to be able to comment on the posted item. However, this is not working. My site is:

   polina-such.freehostia.com/news

   When you hit the comment link, the link goes to

   http://polina-such.freehostia.com/http:/polina-such.freehostia.com#comments

   Can anyone help me find where the problem is? I will be greatly indebted to you!

   what is your permalink structure?

   Well, in my permalinks page, I have custom structure selected, with the homepage of my site in the field: polina-such.freehostia.com.

   I am not very well versed in permalinks. Is this what is causing the problem?

   yup, set back to default and see how things go.

   If that works, reset your permalinks to custom, using one of the preset customs, or read up in the docs section about permalinks structure

   Your homepage must have the complete URL: http://polina-such.freehostia.com

   I think what you are after is this
   go to admin dashboard - Settings - Permalinks
   select "custom" and input this
   /%postname%/
   and save the structure
