• I looked at my blog two days ago. Today all I see is an index page showing the parent directory (my blog is not my front page). All my posts are still OK, just not visible. I haven’t done any theme tweaking, and i tried deactivating the latest plugin, but that didn’t help. (I’ve reactivated it.) Any ideas? My site is jessicalevant.com. Blog is at jessicalevant.com/blog.

  • It appears that your blog directory from the hosting server is empty. Try check this manually via FTP or your file manager under your hosting’s CPanel and let me know if this is true. If yes don’t worry cause if the databse is still there then you can recover your posts/comments and maybe your site files too if you have an automatic backup system.

Thanks – that led me in the right direction and it is fixed. In case this helps anyone else, here’s what happened: My OLD blog had its own directory/folder. When I changed themes, I imported the posts and no longer had a separate folder for ‘blog’, but I did not delete the folder. Recently I had a trouble ticket going with my server about an email list plugin that wasn’t sending out confirmations. From that time, my blog ‘went away’. Seems they did something at their end reinstating the old blog folder which had nothing in it. I deleted the folder and now all is well.
