I don't know if anybody here knows the answer to this but... OK well I run a wordpress blog and recently my account was suspended because of my friends website on the same account as mine. And I didn't have any backups because I hadn't even released the site yet.

Anyway, I asked the Web host if they would give me the SQL and they didn't. Then I started using profanity - this is where I become skeptical about my rights. According to their terms of use, the content I wrote is my property, not theirs. So, because of my profanity, the manager said he deleted my website, including my SQL file that I asked for. I'm not sure if he really did. I put so much work into this blog. Think about it, wouldn't you be upset if your blog posts were deleted.

Anyway, does anybody know if they had the right to delete my content, that according to their "TOU", is my property.

Here's something -- next time you decide to ask a question like this, how about you provide all the info needed to respond (Saves us having to work) -- in this case, we needed the name of the host.

You didnt provide it, but I found you via Google, and your host, so here is your answer:

    Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or suspend service at our sole discretion. All sub-networks, distributive hosting sites of webhostingpad.com must adhere to the above policies.

    http://www.webhostingpad.com/terms.html

If suspending their service means deleting your MySQL database(s) well then there you go. And I see the word "property" on that page only once, and its in regards to the DMCA,

well of course, thats for them, not you -- thats an indemnity clause.

If suspending their service means deleting your MySQL database(s) well then there you go.

It comes down to this, they can cancel you at any time. And there is no legal obligation to allow you to get anything before they cancel. You have already had *that* access.
