I just got mostly finished with my blog redesign. I'm still working on it, tweaking code, functionality, and graphics. Please let me know what you think, and any crits, comments that you may have. Thank you!

Nice clean design and color scheme. My only suggestions would to lose the calendar (a useless feature on any blog) and perhaps make the main content column slightly wider.

I think it is beautiful, simply beautiful. Well done.

Thank you, Chrisber and Evita. I agree with the calendar, I just wanted something that was future-proof in the sense that as time goes by, the sidebar wouldn't get longer and longer with a list of Years and months of posts. I guess I've already staved that off by having an 'Archives' link, but I also think the calendar table offsets the list after list after list look of the sidebar. I agree with making the main content section a little wider though. Good call.

What are the little logo things for?

I'm a big fan of the wp_dtree plugin. It allows you to have all of your categories, archives, pages, links etc., in collapsing menus that don't take up huge amounts of space in the sidebar.

Well, using the custom fields, I can add a little image to go along with each post. If I don't specify an image, it defaults to the 'PJ' icon. All my old blog posts didn't have an image associated with them.

I really like the site. (of course I'm a sucker for retro but anyways)

One question: is the bottom supposed to be uneven? The two corners do not meet, giving a disjointed look. (I actually kind of like it - but just wanted to make sure it was intentional)?

Good luck with the design classes btw - I think you've got a calling and need to follow it.

    @ Scarecrow:

    Thanks for your kind words!
yes, it's supposed to be disjointed. It was kind of a last minute idea that I decided to keep in. I'll probably redesign the footer eventually. I have a few ideas for changing the site around a bit graphically. I'll probably be making it wider as well.

Thanks again for saying nice things about my design.

Cool blog! I like the style!
but, can you guys find out the foot can not snap in Firefox?

@njuptsoz if you mean that the sidebar and the main content area doesn't line up, that should be happening in all browsers, because that is how it it supposed to look. On the single post page, however, it should be one solid piece.

If this isn't what you're talking about, please let me know.

Since this was posted I took a lot of feedback and changed things around a bit. I would appreciate any feedback on it's current state. Thank you very much!
