Must I log in for the cron to grab my email

Hi, I have installed and activated the cron mail plugin and I have set up an email account. Everything works great for me to email to my blog except for the fact that I have to go out to my special email account and log in before the cron will pull the emial off the server. WHy is this? Is there a way I can get it to work so I dont have to go out to this specialized blog email address? It mitigates against the convenience of the process for me to have to go out and log in before the cron will pull it off the server. Thanks in advance for your reply.
