• Hello. I am looking to setup a site that will manage multiple sport leagues (leaguemanager looks quite promising).

However I’m wondering if a network(MU) would be the way to go and structure it like this?
    – Main Site
    — Sport 1 site
    — Sport 2 site
    — Sport 3 site

Then somehow allow users to have 1 account, but still access multiple-sport sites each with their own leaguemanager installation?

Yeah, that could work as a network.

I would install League manager but NOT activate it (that is, do NOT network activate it) and let each site turn it on. I don’t know if it’s MultiSite capable, mind you. You may need to ask the developer of the plugin.

Would multisite be what takes care of one user registration across multiple sport sites?

    Yes, yes it would 🙂

I notice the leaguemanager plugin says that user registration can be done through ProjectManager? Should that be used over the basic site user registration?

What about payment? Can (or should) any of these be network activated?

That I don’t know, but I’m moving this to the multisite section for better traction there.

I have no idea what ProjectManager is or what it does.

the best I can tel you is setup multisite install the plugin and try it. Because if someone was paying me to figure it out, that’d be what I’d go do first. 😉
