• I’ve create dozens of WP site, but I’m jumping in to my first foray into using the multisite and buddy press features and I’m trying to decide the best way to use the various features. Basically, I’m creating a site that let’s users write reviews and rate local community events, but would like it so that there’s one page for each event that users can then add their reviews to. would also love to create a widget so that an event could pull user comments into their own web site.

I’m not completely sure I need to install both multisite and buddypress, but it seems like using both might give me the most elegant outcome.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Ilana

  • I’m in a similar boat to you, and I suspect multisite + buddypress is the way to go

Multisite gives you multiple blogs, that’s it.

THe buddypress features are the same either way. (Well, with multisite enabled, then you have a blog directory).
