    Hi,

Problem: it's not possible for new users to register as well as creating a new site

I can't find the multisite tables in my database, is this the problem? How do I get them..?

If I'm changing my theme to a buddy press compatible it works though which is weird (?)

Yes it is. When a user makes a new site they're auto-registered. That's how it works.

So what's not happing? The site gets made after the user account, so they shou;dn't be able to make a site without the account...

    Sign up page: http://www.dubaify.me/wp-signup.php

It doesn't work to write in the fields and therefore they can't sign up for a user account neither a site.

    - I allowed both sites and user accounts to be registered
    - I have the blogs.dir
    - I put in the codes in wp-config.php and .hcaccess

    - I also tried making the theme buddypress compatible making its own, full width, sign up page (using the plugin BuddyPress Template Pack) but it still doesn't work to fill in the fields. (at the moment I am not having BuddyPress activated and I'm not planning to have it, I just tried if it was a possible solution)

  4. That;s your theme, then. Try it out on Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve :) It'll work.

Ok, thank you so much for your fast reply.

Call me stupid but now something very strange happened. When I want to login I'm just getting redirected to the wp-signup.php page.

If I delete the text in the wp-config.php (define('MULTISITE', true); etc) and also the text in the .htcaccess I can log in - but as a user without access to the dashboard or anything else.

What did I do?! I don't dare to touch any other folders, I don't want to make it worse. I've lost all my privileges as a superadmin, even as an admin as I can't change anything on my website.

I wanted my host to reset my website to a previous date but they're not responding... Have no idea how to solve this...

Back to the subject I have one last question ... (sorry for insisting!) is there no way for me to enable multisite on this theme..? I have no problem in changing the theme, but I'm losing all my Facebook likes/twitter shares in my portfolio when doing so (i tried changing the custom permalinks but i still loose them)

    thank you again

  8. Apparently not :/ Themes can change the functionality of WP in their functions.php, so you may have one that conflicts.

... can I redirect the wp-signup.php to a custom page...? i figured out how to do the custom page, but not how to redirect it, alternative change the content of wp-signup.php so the content only shows a link.

  10. ... can I redirect the wp-signup.php to a custom page...?

    Sure.

Use .htaccess to send wp-signiup.php wherever you want :)
