[resolved] Multisite Sub-Sites Not Loading CSS, JS or wp-admin (3 posts)

    Hi folks,

    I understand this to be a problem with the .htaccess file not being correctly read by the server, as outlined on these other threads:

    Obviously quite a common problem. My .htaccess file appears fine and pretty permalinks work on the main and child sites. However, wp-admin, css and js doesn't load on the child sites.

    I've setup and configured apache (running on a Ubuntu VM) myself but I'm not a total expert. My conf file looks like this:

    <Directory /media/sf_sites>
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
    AllowOverride All
    Order allow,deny
    allow from all
    </Directory>

    Having looked around, I can't see any fault with this and it was only after modifying it to these settings that pretty permalinks started working.

    Where am I going wrong?

    Thanks for fixing the links mod! Any input on how to fix my problem?

    Got this working but removing the rewrite base string from subsequent rewrites for e.g. wp-admin:

    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ solas-lite/$2 [L]

    became

    RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*\.php)$ $2 [L]

    Seems to be a conflict with my rewrite base '/solas-lite-/' but not totally sure as to why it didn't work in the first place.
