    Hi!

I have 2 WP MultiSite installations one at SERVER1 and second at SERVER2. My SERVER1 images can be located at the following path :

    http//www-website-com/files/yyyy/mm/image-name.jpg

The SERVER2 images are located at:
    http//www-website-com/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/yyyy/mm/image-name.jpg
What and where can I change in the SERVER2 installton so that the path like SERVER1 work for me at SERVER2? I want to hide the fact that the website is a part of a MultiSite network.

    Thank you for the help.

  2. You don't.

Between Version 3.4 and 3.5, we changed how files were loaded. On 3.0 through 3.4, we used a PHP file to load images. It was slower, a little hacky, and klunky.

As of 3.5, images are in wp-content/uploads/sites

Now FWIW, neither one 'hides' that you're on a multisite. In fact, if someone sees /files/yyyy... they know you're on Multisite too!

So, there's no way now to change back to old shorter, simpler and neaty urls formate?

  4. No, there's no way to change back to the older, shorter, more CPU/memory hogging, neaty but incompatible with a lot of plugins, format.

    Well... There's one.

Install WP as 3.4, make your sites, make some uploads, THEN upgrade to 3.5.

But you shouldn't. It's not like people can't easily find out your're on multisite, and it's not like you're actually hiding any URLs.
