Multisite redirect users to primary blog home instead of Admin (8 posts)

I would like users to be able to login from my main blog and be redirected to there home page instead of there back end profile page. Any suggestions anyone? I have honestly been searching for hours!

  2. There are plugins, like Peter's Redirect Plugin

    But you can do this:

    <a href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/wp-login.php?redirect_to=<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>">log in</a>

Thank you so much for the reply.
Let me be a little more specific....Once I have my site complete I'll have hundreds of people signing up for new blogs so I kinda need something that AUTOMATICALLY redirects the user to there primary blog so I don't have to go manually assign a redirect for every single user. Is there a way to do this?

  4. To THEIR primary blog? (There could either be a type of 'the primary blog' or 'the primary blog there' or 'the individual person's blog')

FWIW I use logins like this:

    http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/07/09/how-to-place-a-login-form-in-the-sidebar/

So it's in my sidebar and people never hit up the back end. They can log in from the main (primary) blog and have at :)

    'the individual person's blog'

    .
    Sorry yeah that's what I meant =)

Yeah I guess a plugin like that one could work but would be nice to automatically have them be directed to the users home page once they are logged in.

  6. Think of it this way: If you log in on bob's blog, you've logged in on Bob's blog. If you log in on your OWN blog, you've logged in on your own blog.

So. The real answer is 'Log in on YOUR site.' :)
