   I have WP 3.2 installed on a server that's configured correctly for multisite and has a few sites. A few plugins are installed as well. (I'd list them but even with disabling them, the problem persists -- still, if someone thinks it would help, I can post them.)

   Basically, when adding new media into a post, which by the file structure is located at:

   http://site/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2011/07/087.jpg

   However, the WP editor shows the URL as:

   http://site/files/2011/07/087.jpg

   Can anyone assist as to why this is?

   imevilduckie - That's as it should be :)

   http://site/files/2011/07/087.jpg redirects, using your .htaccess file, to http://site/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2011/07/087.jpg

   And furthermore http://site/TWO/files/2011/07/087.jpg (or even http://two.site/files/2011/07/087.jpg if you use subdomains) redirects to http://site/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files/2011/07/087.jpg

   It's MAGIC! :D

   Thanks, all. Found out it was an outdated .htaccess problem.
