Multisite Login not possible after renaming admin (8 posts)

    Hello,

    I renamed my admin user in wp_users, I changed user_login, user_nicename and display_name to 'superadmin' but didn't change the rest. Now I can't login to the multisite admin page, the error 'You do not have permission to access this page.' occurs if I try to access /wp-admin/ms-admin.php - obviously I don't have the capability to view the page.
    I looked in wp_options -> wp_user_roles, but did not find the capability 'manage_network', which is necessary to edit the multisite options.
    How do I add this capability to the User? If I simply write 'a:1:{s:13:"administrator";s:1:"1";s:1:"manage_network"}', the error that I don't have the rights to access this page occurs at /wp-admin/, too.

  2. becasue you've knocked yourself off the super admin list as well. :D

    Since you were in the database already, go look in the wp_sitemeta table and the field listing site_admins.

    These are old terms from WPMU. But this is what you need.

    I am already in that list ;)

  4. Then something is not right with the syntax. :) Wanna paste that field value in here?

    a:1:{i:0;s:5:"luca";}

  6. a:1:{i:0;s:5:"luca";}

    Syntax error. :)

    See the 5? that stands for how many characters are in your username. Yours has 4. ;)
