multisite image galleries

Hi,

I’m using multisite wp for making a multilingual site.
This site contains several photo galleries with lots of pictures.
About 5GB!!

I need a solution for two things:

1- How to add all the images to wp using ftp (upload images to one folder and then add them all)

2- How can I use the already uploaded images in many sites on the network without uploading again? (because it will eat my disk space)
