[resolved] Multisite cant login to super admin (43 posts)

  1. Okay. So THAT is what's wrong here.

    Let's think... While I HATE using www in a domain (it has other issues sometimes), the fastest 'fix' is this:

    Change define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'drheatherlariviere.com');

    to define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'www.drheatherlariviere.com');

    See if that works.

    (BTW, that info tells me that when you did a search/replace, you search for the IP and replaced with www.domain.com - Those changes are exactly how I can tell.)

    Thanks Ipstenu, I did change it
    define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'www.drheatherlariviere.com'); from my wp_config.php and when I try to login it shows this

    This web page has a redirect loop I try to reload but it didnt work and showing that one.

  3. *sigh*

    Sadly, the problem is that when you did the search/replace, you did 'something' wrong. And really from this end, that's all I can tell you.

    Do you have a DB backup of BEFORE you moved?

    Can you tell me what I did wrong??As,I have similar site that will be doing the same thing on future..

  6. I cannot possibly tell you what you did wrong, because you cannot tell me what you did. You told me you did a search/replace and used domain.com as the replace string, but your database says otherwise.

    I think you need to go back through that database, the original one, use the interconnect script, and be VERY careful.

    Re-read http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress#Moving_WordPress_Multisite

    Search for http://OldDomain and replace with http://newdomain

    Yes, use http.

    THEN go back and look for JUST OldDomain (no http) and see what's left, if anything.

    Make sure you're not trying to move folders AND domains at the same time.

    And if all else fails? Just install a fresh copy and import the sites manually.

    and search for the domain 209.105.244.10/~heather and replace with http://drheatherlariviere.com

    also question "Make sure you're not trying to move folders AND domains at the same time" Im not going to moved the folders as they already on the right folders..

    to define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'www.drheatherlariviere.com');

    I think this refers to your set up on the test server you were using with the host, it looks like you are using a the site in a folder within the domain but I know you aren't as with my host the settings are the same. It appears to look like it's in a folder even though it's in the root. Hope that makes it clear.

    Man...This is annoying>.<

  11. Well, yes,, I used the 209.105.244.10/~heather and replace it with the drheatherlariviere.com....

    No you do not. You use http://209.105.244.10/~heather and replace with http://drheatherlariviere.com

    I am not kidding. USE HTTP.

    Change define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'drheatherlariviere.com');

    to define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'www.drheatherlariviere.com');

    No, leave it as define('DOMAIN_CURRENT_SITE', 'drheatherlariviere.com');
