• We are providing users with a free wordpress preconfigured templated site. We just launched a beta and images are already an issue. The ideal would be to have users utilize their images no matter where they are saved, but we are providing them a multi-media slider that requires getting the images into Gallery.

Would your plugin work in multisite preferably at a network activation but secondarily as a site by site activation for those that want to use their Picasa to upload images?

I’m using it myself in a multisite config. I can’t think of a reason network activation vs. site activation would make a difference. I’m using site activation.

One other thing to point out — The Picasa interfaces this plugin uses are deprecated in Picasa and no longer supported by the Google team that delivers Picasa. It’s possible they could disappear…

Thank you. One thing that is certain, everything keeps changing.
In regards to disappearing, do they usually give some kind of heads-up on support or are you totally at risk? What might the alternatives be?

Totally at risk. I found out by visiting the site describing the API a few months back and noticed that the API to Picasa was deprecated with no replacement. In theory, any future Picasa update could remove the functionality, at which point this plugin will cease to operate. The alternative then would be to upload the photos to the Picasa site using Picasa and then use a different plugin that connects the blog to a users online Picasa albums.
