• Is it possible to have multiple “slugs” associated with a single post?

Such as, for example, if I write an entry titled “My Birthday” and I want the permalink to work with either http//url/my-birthday/ or http://url/my-b-day/. Would this be possible?

In the admin section, it seems like I can only associate one single slug, but I was wondering if anyone had tried experimenting with it, either by editing .htaccess or modifying the database itself. Is there a frontend for such a feature?

  • No. Unless you do massive redirects in your .htaccess file…do you really want to go there?

One file name per post. If you can’t make up your mind, that’s a different problem 😉

I’m using a plugin called redirectify (http://www.asymptomatic.net/wp-hacks) to the same effect. In your example, you would create a second page with the slug my-b-day and put in a custom field redirect=/path/to/new/page
