I am the super admin of a multisite installation. I don't want to receive e-mails for comment moderation for any of my websites. Instead, I'd like the e-mail notifications to be sent to the only other user for a particular site with the role of "editor". I'm not sure if I should change the e-mail address in the general settings to the editor's e-mail address for fear of the editor receiving some sort of crucial information about my site and not knowing what to do with it. Plus, if they didn't forward me the crucial information, I'd never know what was going on. I don't want the editor involved in anything other than moderating the comments for that individual site. What should I do?
P.S. Is there a list of things that the e-mail address (in general settings) receives? Does this e-mail address handle any other notification other than comment moderation and adding new users?

  2. I don't want to receive e-mails for comment moderation for any of my websites.

Then make another account the 'admin' account for that site.

(As SuperAdmin you will always have the ability to play in their site, admin or not)

    1) Should switch the "editor" user role to "admin"?
    2) Do I change the general settings e-mail to that person's address?
    3) Won't they then receive e-mails I don't want them to receive? (anything other than comments moderation e-mails?)

  4. 1) Yes.

    2) Yes.

    3) They'll get comment moderation mails for THAT site only.

Hello, I started to receive hundreds of comments on my blog in the form of emails. These are difficult to moderate because there are so many of them. Most are positive, but some I would rather not post. I am new at this and don't know what to do. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Whenever you see a topic resolved you should open a new topic of your own so that the WordPress forum stays organized and efficient. Call it "receiving hundreds of comments on my blog" and I'll reply there. To do this: go to the "support" tab > click on multisite (if you have a multisite installation - otherwise, click on appropriate link) > scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the line I gave you for the topic title.
