Multiple Sidebars

I’ve set-up two different sidebar widget areas and I’ve inserted the custom widget into both areas with two different options selected and when viewing either of the two pages the options list are identical even through I’ved selected different options. is they a way I can have two different widget areas with two different lists of options ?
