   the page 'opinion' is the blog. its a single page getting longer and longer.

   how do i make the page break, put <-next and ->previous clicks atthe top and a list of recent posts in a box at the side?

   The page shows your 10 most recent posts; previous posts are accessed through the "Older posts" link at the bottom. You can change the number shown per page in "Settings > Reading". WordPress has a "Recent Posts" widget built-in that you can use to display your most recent posts in the a sidebar.
