Multiple images and HTML for header? (14 posts)

Hey everyone. I have looked through the codex and read some other peoples' issues with headers, looked at some of the "custom" headers too and still can't find anything about having mulitple images for a header. I have creating a piece of artwork that I have sliced up and have different images of it linking to different areas. I would like to create a THEME with this in mind.

Here is the link to what I am talking about for my art work:

My thing is I can't figure out how to take all of that HTML code and graphics and use that for my header for WP. I thought that someone would have wanted to do something like this but can't find any posts about the subject.

Maybe everyone just likes having one header.jpg file, but not me. Anyone have any clue how I could accomplish this?

    Grazi!

It's not exactly clear to me what you want, but I'm comfortable that I could code it. Can you explain a bit more?

I am basically trying to make WP look like this (minus the flash):

    http://www.themidwestscene.com/

The flash part I have made into a graphic of which I sliced up to make 10 images for speedier loading time. So initially I was trying to figure out how to keep all the "guts" of WP in place but design it like the URL above. I think I am on the right track and will let you guys know when I am done with the template:)

Sorry Karyl I didn't say Random images, only multiple images. Plus I said I would let you guys know when I am done as I haven't had a chance to work on the new theme anymore yet. I am moving today :o)

Well, didn't realize you simply wanted an image map - I don't normally allow flash crap to load....

It's all about CSS and HTML, doesn't pertain directly to WP. Google for 3 column layout in general, if that's what you want to accomplish.

Hmm I would have thought that there would have been something in the header or something about this. Is there an easy way to set where the entire WP get aligned?

To play the part of antagonist here for a bit...

For a designer that offers "complete website design" and "full e-commerce websites", you sure are asking a lot of basic html and css questions.

As alphaiode pointed out, your questions are related to (X)HTML and CSS.

See how templates are split up and for what code goes where:

I was only asking where it was located where I could change the center alignment. I am new to designing with WP and was just looking for a point in the right direction and not a contemptuous remark.

    thanks though...
