I want to integrate WP e-commerce into a record label website.
What is the best way to offer mp3 downloads of single tracks and full albums?
I haven't had any luck searching for a solution online. I may be missing something obvious.
My best guess would be to upload a zip file with all the tracks for an album download. Does anyone have a better solution?
You will want to set variations up.
A separate variation for each track and then another variation for the entire album.
Then each variation can be associated with a downloadable file....so for the "tracks" variations, you'll just attach the track. For the "album" variation, you'll attach the entire album.
Each variation can have a different price as well...

Thanks for that option. With a bit of creative thinking about categories and products I might get the store to work.
I'll search for answers but do you know how to display the variations as a list?

I don't think this is possible as you are intending, or at least what I would like to be able to do.
1 product (digital album)
2 variations (mp3 or flac)
2+ files for each variation (*1.mp3, *2.mp3... or *1.flac, *2.flac...)
As a workaround I'm trying using zips of albums. Downfall is that although individual songs aren't greater than my file limit, the zip will be.
