    Hi All
    I need help understanding multisite.
i'm in the process of finishing off my wp site.
a friend saw it loved it and asked me to re vamp his business website, so i thought i would be able to use multisite.
is this possible, as i have my wp site which is a different domain name to his
    thanks in advance

You'll need this plugin to accomplish this. You'll just need to point the domain to the IP of your server.

Thanks Jeremy for your quick response

    So just to confirm.
i can use multisite, like this
i have my own domain ex: mydomain.com which i alone use,no one but myself accesses the back end / admin area. but i want to create another site for my friend, who has a business ex: hisdomain.co.uk i could effectively upgrade my wp account to multisite, create a site for him via my admin area, his website would be completely independent of mine, by that i mean have different apps and a different theme to mine, but still be accessible from the one admin area?
    does that make any sense?

You'll share themes and plugins. The administrator of the second site won't have access to install plugin or themes so you'll have to be in charge of that. If you'll only be managing the second site with no plans to expand further, multisite is overkill. Just install a second install of WordPress that you help him manage.
