My hosting service has recent let me know that I’m about to exceed my disk space limit. The culprit is my installation of Word Press, which on April 15, 2009, began hosting multiple core files (i.e., core.3793, core.6646, core.8563, core.9828). The average file size is 50 MB.

    What gives?

I received this message from Hostgator:

    Hello,

The core files appear to be getting generated from the wp-spamfree plugin:

Core was generated by `/usr/bin/php /home/phil/public_html/wp/index.php’.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

You would need to try disabling that plugin.

But I see there is a Spamfree update. I have updated, and will report back later if this problem persists.

The problem continued, but there is another Spamfree update. I’ll try the update again.

It has continued to produce core dumps to the WordPress directory. So, I have disabled Spamfree. If the problem continues, I will note it here.

I took with inmotionhosting to increase the memory on php.ini (from 32 to 512 MB) but nothing happen!

Really I don’t what to do.
