    Bryce,

First of all, congratulations, great job with this plugin!

I want to implement the Pro version of WPUS in a WPML-powered multilingual site. I’ve been testing it and it works fine, except for just one thing: despite the current language, the search box always shows the labels in English.

I tried WPUS in a standard non-English WP site, and it does the same thing.

Is it possible to get the translated labels according to the current locale? How does this work with custom taxonomies?

We’re determined to buy and use WPUS, but this little detail is a major downside for our clients.

    Thanks in advance,

    Ricardo

    Bryce,

Another nice feature would be to exclude post types (i.e. search only Posts, excluding all Pages).

Using the basic version, I have to fork it in order to do this (editing wp-ultimate-search.php in line 770). Does the Pro version handle this via filters or admin, so we don’t have to mess with your code?

    Thanks again,

    Ricardo

    Thank you!

The plugin should work fine on international sites. In the pro version, the terms “category” and “tag” are no longer hard-coded into the settings, so the plugin will recognize whatever your “category” equivalent is called (in whatever language), and will let you create a new label for it if you wish.

I’ve made a note to check the locale in the free version before setting the default labels. We’ll release this in v 1.3.

Adding some basic global parameters (like only search posts, pages, a post type, authors, etc) is on the roadmap for v 1.3 or v 1.4. You can expect it within a few weeks.

    Bryce, that’s great news!

We’ll be buying the Pro version shortly. Regarding those global parameters, we have to launch this site sooner than that, but we can just temporarily fork the filter until you reach that point of the roadmap. It’s enough for us to know that the feature is coming soon.

    Cheers,

    Ricardo
