• Does anyone know of a solution for managing humanly done translations of things like pages, menu item names, etc. for a fully bilingual site? When I search, I keep finding plugins that do machine translation – that’s not what I mean. If you know what JoomFish did for Joomla 1.5, that’s what I’m hoping for, as I need to do something with an old Joomla 1.5/Joomfish site (http://oicjapan.org) – I’m considering migrating it to WordPress, but I would need to solve the language issue.

  • Try qTranslate.

Thanks. This is an old thread – after additional research on a number of tools (including qTranslate), I ended up springing for WPML. It’s kinda expensive and there have been hiccups along the road to getting everything working, but it’s the only one that is comprehensive enough to handle all the different elements of a site. As you might notice, the site I linked in my OP is now live as a WordPress/WPML site.
