Multi-Users

So I’ve set up a WP-installation, and have multiple users on it. Before I set up this installation I’d tried several times to set up WPMU without luck. There seemed to be a problem with the smarty-installation.
That’s not why I’m here, though. I’d like to propose that you should be able to view different users’ posts the same way you can view different categories, with different themes and the like, just not like an archive. I don’t really see why there’s should be a completely other project for a WP with multiple users.
