    Hey,

I am considering to run the WordPress install for multiple domains.
I want the WordPress install on my own server and let my costumers use that install.

I've searched Google but no website gives me the answer I desire.
I want the have multiple domains making use of the install and not multiple sub-domains. Is this possible?
And if so do I need to get the domainhosters to link the DNS to my server? and how?

Can someone please provide me with some usefull links.

    Thnx in advance!

    Hi mvanboordt,

That is certainly possible and rather easy to setup. This process is called "mapping a domain." Essentially you are mapping the subsite to the domain.

For example: Say http://www.mydomain.com is your main site and you'd like to add a site called "Weather." That subsite would then be accessible via http://www.mydomain.com/weather. Then you should install the WordPress MU Domain Mapping Plugin to map your domain to that new site you just created.

I posted a tutorial on my new website just a few days ago about this very topic.

Your domains should be pointed to the nameservers of your hosting provider. If you'd like to use multisite they should usually be pointed to the /public_html.

Let me know if you have any questions!
