Multi-Page galleries?

Is there any way to have a single gallery split onto multiple pages?

For example, your gallery has 100 images in it. For bandwidth and page load reasons, you only want 25 per page. Thus, the gallery would be split into four.

At the moment the only solution I can see is to have four separate galleries, which means somebody cannot cycle through all 100 using the previous/next links when viewing each image.

Hope someone has an idea!
