    Hi Gang,

On my Blog, I do Editorials that I write in MS Word 2000. It would be So nice if I would could just push a button and set those to WordPress without having to cut and paste to a silly
Blog Client and then send it to wordpress. Is there in fact, a plug in for MS Word 2000, that's possibly free?

    I could really use it.

I realize my version of WS-Word is quite old, But I'm one of them poor blokes who cannot afford to go out and BUY new software... :(

    Thanks,

    -Chuck

In 2.3, a new button was added to the WYSIWYG editor (far right). If you click it, you'll see the "advanced" buttons.

One of those advanced buttons is "Paste from Word" and purports to remove the word specific formatting.

    Give that a shot?

Also, just as an aside, have you considered Windows Live Writer? It's rather "word-like" and (imho) works pretty well as a free blog client.

I have Windows Live Writer, Beta 3, The problem is, WLW doesn't use the grammar Engine from Word. It makes me sound smarter, when writing. ;-P

Also... I bawk at using the editor in WordPress, it has been known to do some nutty stuff to things I have written in the past.

I just wish there were a Plug in. :`-(

If pasting from Word, it definitely would've got nutty! That's what that new button fixes.

Afraid I don't know of anything that would work directory with Word 2k. Perhaps someone else will have a thought.

Yes, copy and pasting from word into the visual editor without the button creates all sorts of problems. Not nice and you spend a fair bit of time cleaning up the code.
