   Tried a search for this but no luck.

   I am trying to setup WP for a friend but it seems that their host only has MS-SQL.

   Is it possible to use this with WP or is there an alternative way of doing things if they use MS-SQl?

   Nope. WordPress is made for a PHP/MySQL environment.
