[resolved] MP4 wont play after published (9 posts)

    Hi,

I uploaded an mp4 video to media and then embedded it into my post.

It works fine in preview, but once I have published the post, and log in to see it - there is nothing, and when you right click in the space, it says video not loaded.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Al

Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of assistance.

How are you embedding this video? What video player plugin are you using?

I am just using the embed video in the post section of wordpress, and it has worked fine before - I do not think I have a specific plug in for the video - I uploaded it into media and then embed video link in post

Unless you are embedding a video from somewhere like YouTube, you will need a player plugin if you want to show the video on your site (as opposed to just providing a download link).

There is no video player in WordPress itself. Perhaps you had a player plugin installed at one time and then deleted it?

I revisited how my original video was working and looked at the settings.

The video type was set to flash while the wordking one was set to windowsmedia

Have changed this and problem is solved.

    Thanks for your assistance tho.

    cheers,

    Al
