please help!
after many people recommended WP, yesterday i went ahead and installed it on my own domain via Bluehost. no trouble there. then i tried adding the highly rated mp3 flash player plugin (and a few other plugins), installing it by uploading the zip and then activating it. this is the message that showed up:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: scandir() in /home/expatri1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/flash-mp3-player/inc/class.config_editor.php on line 20
this message appeared not just once upon activation, but also any subsequent time i try to log into my admin dashboard! so i'm basically paralyzed!
please advise. thanks.

Delete the plugin directory and it should work fine. Use your file manager (provided by web host) or ftp to locate the plugin directory at /wp-content/plugins/
Delete the plugin directory and it should work fine
DO NOT delete the entire plugins directory
rename the folder for the mp3 plugin - this will deactivate it and you can get in
rename folder back
review install instructions before activating again

Hi,
Did you ever get the plugin to work. I get the same error and have to delete the plugin to deactivate it. I really need a mp3 playlist similar to this. Do you know any that work?
Thanks

Try removing the plugin then installing it again. If you are still getting problems after uploading the plugin files a couple of times, search the plugins directory for other options: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

thanks bh_WP_fan. I've done that several times. I can install and use the earlier version but it doesn't have the customization features of the latter version. Keep me posted if you come across anything else.
